We were asked to write a blog about how we felt before leaving on this mission trip, here’s what I’m expecting…

I’m kind of not sure what to expect so far, but just to expect that God’s going to be there with us, every minute, guiding the way.  I think that God has a plan for each of us, whether it’s for us to reach out to people that are lost and don’t know God, or for God to give us a change of heart.  I think my biggest goal is to just go in with an open heart and let God work.
I’ve never been away for a full month at a time, so it will be pretty different for me.  I’ve always been a homebody, but for some reason I’m not too extremely worried about being away, not yet anyway.  I’ll definitely miss my home, friends, and my whole family like crazy.
I’m really excited to meet the team – as far as prayer request – just be praying for the team, and for God to use us and give us a safe trip.

The people I’m really going to miss while I am away:
My Family with my brother, his wife, and my two nephews.
Cousins on my Dad’s side.
Cousins on my Mom’s side.
Me and my sister Mallory.
Me and my friend Kelsey.
My friend B (Brenna).

  1. Reading these makes me so excited! I just can’t wait for all of us girls to be able to work as a team together. I already am feeling a strong hold towards Ireland, and would love to live there. These past few days I have had a cold, so I stayed at home looking at Irish Cottages for sale in Ireland. The hard part is picking one! lol

  2. You look like you have great family and friends!! 🙂 I,like you, will miss my family and friends and this will be a great but different experience for me! I live on college campus during the week but on fridays i can’t wait to go home! haha. so im a little nervous, but i know we will help each other out! after all, we are a team! haha I’m looking forward to meeting you and the rest of the team! Keep up the good spirit and i will definately keep our team in prayer! 🙂
