Well it wasn’t my plan to come
nd apply to go to Ireland whatsoever. I was talking to God about what he wanted me to do with my life this summer whether he was calling me to go on a mission trip with my Youth Group or stay home. I was plannign to stay home this summer, but God had a bigger plan. So as I continued to pray abotu this God said “I want you to go on a mission trip.” I was like “Uh Where?” He said I just want you to go. So I had prayied even harder knowing I was going on a mission trip just didn’t knwo where. One day God told me as i was doing Devotionals in my room he said “I’m sending you to Ireland.” My jaw dropped and my heart sunk. Was this a joke, or was this just me thinking I was going to Ireland. So I asked God to give me a sign. He told me to lookon the internet for a mission trip to Ireland and I found Adventures in Missions. So then I was like okay maybe I am suppose ot go, but my human nature said “Are you Sure this is want God wants?” SO I asked God to give me a sign, and then I had my devos agian and found in Isaiah The day I asked for a sign from God. “Here I am Lord Send me” And I freaked out!

At the age of 14 I went on my first mission trip which was great, and it was awesome! I had so much fun doing what God had called me to do.
Then I went on another trip at the age of 15 and that was even better, each of these mission trips God had called me to unknowingly, and I went unprepared of what God was going to do. I was shocked and amazed at how God called to a country i would rather to go to for vacation not a mission trip. In my heart I love the people of Ireland, adn want to serve htem as God has served us by sending his son to die for us. I probably wouldn’t have been able to say that a month ago, but God has been working on my heart for this mission trip, and now I’m trying my hardest to do his will, and love his people as he has loved me and my family, and how he has blessed my family.

That’s how I was called ot Missions

  1. It can be really scary when God calls you to such a strange place, but it is good to know that you have confidence in the Lord when he says “please do it! I know what I am doing with you!” Not many people give in like that, its admirable! I am so excited to have someone so confident as you on this trip to experience it with me! 🙂

  2. Your story is inpiring.
Im 14, and this will be my first mission trip, and like Annie Warren said, he will take care of you and I and this is obviously where he wants us to be. =]
